Marie began her yoga journey while traveling India and spontaneously decided to stay in a yoga ashram. During that one month of intense yoga practice, she went through quite the transformation. As a former actress, she was overly self critical and abused her body through extreme diet and exercise. However in the ashram she felt her anxiety dissipate and she began to love herself, as she was. She felt calmer, stronger and more centered than ever before. She walked away feeling light as a feather. Humbled by this experience, she yearned to help others transform, mentally physically and spiritually.

She went on to receive her Holistic Health Coaching Certification, where she helps women redesign their lifestyle, build self worth and balance hormones naturally. Marie graduated from her 200 hour YTT from the Ashtanga Studio In April. She has also studied buddhist meditation techniques, pranayama and yoga philosophy with BNS Iyengar, yoga therapy with Bryce Delbridge, and Thai Massage and teaching technique with Andrew Eppler.

To Marie, yoga asana is more than a great way to get in shape. It is a moving meditation married with breath, that cleanses both body and mind. It is a powerful tool that can be used with other practices to help anyone live happier, calmer and more fulfilling lives. Her mission as a teacher, is to teach safe and effective asana technique while also holding space and guiding students through deeper self discovery and transformation.
