9 DAYS OF LEARNING & SHARING & DIVING DEEP INTO HATHA YOGA & BEYOND

WITH TWO OF THE MOST POPULAR AND RENOWNED TEACHERS OF MODERN YOGA.

PETROS HAFFENRICHTER (SENIOR JIVAMUKTI YOGA TEACHER)
PAX108.COM / ENGEL.YOGA / YOGATRAVEL.DE
ANDREW EPPLER (MYSORE YOGA TRADITIONS, SENIOR STUDENT OF BNS IYENGAR)

Saturday, Oct 26 – Sunday, Nov 3, 2019.

Andrew and Petros got introduced by their common teacher Cliff Barber (cliffbarber.com) in Crete. Both have a studied and applied a variety of paths in the yoga tradition for decades, created strong yoga communities in their countries, taught and educated countless practitioners and teachers on the path.
The first “Free Life Emersion” in Crete in 2018, a month-long course on donation, was a groundbreaking experiment of how to come together in the tradition of humanity to share our common wisdom and reach beyond a market – concept of spiritual growth and learning. As the event set the way for a needed shift of how we approach learning and the content of yoga didactics and applied philosophy, we are very happy to be able to offer this 9-day urban edition of this spirit.

What we are up to?
Let’s go deep into the state of yoga, using all different modalities including but not limited to asana, mantra, meditation, massage, self therapy, yantra, tantra … Impart a view of yoga that can be sustained throughout life and that allows one to teach, practice and enjoy yoga with all schools of yoga and all cultures. Using popularized styles of Yoga as a catalyst we can look beyond recent history and draw from an older, more grounded paradigm.

We will learn from different backgrounds, as the “Nathamuni Sampradaya” is the tradition Andrew has studied for the last 23 years, and Petros has been initiated into the “Pushthi Marga Sampradaya” for almost 15 years - two ancient systems of applied Yoga in India. Based on the influence of these traditions we will use the principles of traditional yoga to create an authentic approach to teaching and practicing.

1. Yogasana should be able to be practiced and enjoyed
by people from of all ages and levels of fitness.
2. Yogasana should be shared regardless of social status.
3. Yogasana should be taught in a way that transcends culture.
4. Yogasana should be taught in a way that transcends religion.

The course will include:

  • Experience,

  • Teaching methodology (approach to teaching, strategy for teaching, interpersonal psychology of teacher-student relationships) and didactics,

  • Therapeutic movement,

  • Asana, basic anatomy,

  • Postural analysis (by which we can identify symmetry of imbalance in ourselves and others; lecture on unnecessary injuries from yoga and how to avoid them),

  • Pranayama, meditation,

  • Yoga philosophy,

  • Nadam (Yoga & sound),

  • Bhakti Yoga,

  • Tantra, alternative lifestyles, etc.

Andrew and Petros are equally interested and enthusiastic about the energy of likeminded people, willing to uplift and support one another, thus creating different attitudes in our human communities.
It’s about Yoga, integrity, magic, music – and of course some fun!
